My name is Wei-Cheng Wong. I am a Ph.D. student major in particle physics in the University of Texas at Dallas, US. My master thesis research was relative to radio frequency (RF) microwave physics and accelerator physics, where I earned the master degree at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. After, I served in the military as a tank commander, second lieutenant. I was a semiconductor engineer and a patent engineer in Taiwan. Now, I join the particle experiment project ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) included in LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland.
In addition to physics, I love classical music and philosophy. I often listen to live concerts in the concert halls. I have a cello to play, but my skill is not good. About philosophy, reading and thinking are the good ways for me to catch the abstract concepts. I appreciate the Chinese culture, the Buddhism, and the Zen wisdom.
賓客先進們，歡迎到唯城的網誌來，弊姓翁。學生目前於美國德州大學達拉斯分校就讀物理學博士班，專業領域為高能物理，也可稱為粒子物理，屬實驗範疇，參與位於瑞士日內瓦西郊梅漢地區的歐洲核子研究中心大型強子對撞機的超環面大型強子對撞機儀器的實驗計畫。
過去，學生於國立清華大學物理系及新竹同步輻射研究中心進行碩士學位的研讀，習得高頻電磁波物理，或稱微波物理，及加速器物理的相關知識。清華之名源自北京清華園，清華校訓『自強不息、厚德載物』取自華夏文化中諸子百家共同經典易學中的乾與坤之意涵，代表清華意象的梅花也是我國國花，具有堅毅、艱忍的美德象徵。
碩士畢業後，曾服役於國軍陸軍裝甲部隊擔任戰車指揮官少尉排長一職。於新竹科學工業園區擔任動態隨機存取記憶體產品工程師，隨後於台北任職化學製程組專利工程師。
物理科學之外，喜愛歐洲古典音樂，以及哲學的探討。從數年的賞析音樂經驗中讓學生開始學習拉奏大提琴，然而終究不具有自如賞玩的技藝。哲學所涉獵的範圍較為籠統及抽象，在此不予贅述。依學習上的經驗法則，閱讀聽覽與思維辯證是互為增益的兩個修習方式。此外，還需提及學生對於中華文化及相關文化的興致，儒、釋、道之間的互相融合可以簡言為較具力道的中國文化形象，儒學講求人與人之間的應對，佛學著重在修心，道學則是在梳理人如何去觀望自然萬物。
